About the author

Hi everybody, my name is Greg. I launched this website to help young adults become more successful and build long-term futures they’ll find fulfilling and worth the effort.

I’m the kind of person who believes your life doesn’t start “after” you finally get the job, the relationship, or the big break. Life is happening while you’re waiting – and sometimes the waiting is the part that shapes you most.

Back in 2015, I was a young single man in his late 20’s, trying very unsuccessfully to find his footing in life. And honestly, I should have been a lot more successful that year and had nobody else to blame for my struggles. You would think that an Air Force Academy graduate who had just finished a master's degree and had several years of work experience would have had his life together better than I did at that time. But having some significant accomplishments in your past doesn't guarantee you can't stumble in the future. While I should have done better, I know I'm not the first or the last person out there who has gone through highs and lows like this over time. Eventually, I figured things out and overcame this situation, and now I want to help other young people in that same boat to get out of it like I did.

As a few examples of what made it such a hard year for me, I spent most of that year unemployed and struggling to land a job, and I also didn’t go on a single date throughout that entire year. In general, I felt like I was trying really hard to build a full adult life but was failing miserably at it. I didn’t know what the problem was, let alone how to fix it. Living through this time often felt heavy – painful, embarrassing, and isolating in a way that’s hard to explain unless you’ve been there. Every unanswered application and every weekend that came and went without connection added a little more doubt: Am I falling behind? Is something wrong with me? Why is this so much harder than I think it should be?

I wish I could say I handled it with perfect confidence. I didn’t. There were days I felt stuck and days I felt angry – at the process, at myself, at the gap between where I was and where I thought I “should” be. But I kept moving, resolute and determined to get through the next hour, then the next day, and to build a life that wasn’t dependent on external validation. Thankfully, I had some crucial support pillars in my life that kept me going and kept me from making destructive choices to escape the negative emotions I felt during that time. These pillars were part of my inspiration to launch this website to help young people.

The pillars that held me up

Spiritual care

I needed something deeper than motivation - something steady. Prayer, reflection, and honest conversations about faith helped me put words to what I was feeling and remember that my worth wasn’t being decided by a hiring manager or a social calendar. Spiritual care didn’t erase the struggle, but it gave me a place to bring it.

Physical fitness

When life felt unmanageable, movement was one thing I could choose. Training gave my days structure and gave my mind relief. Some workouts were fueled by hope; some were fueled by frustration. Either way, I left feeling more capable than when I walked in, and that small, repeatable proof of progress mattered.

Family time

I learned to let people who loved me be close, even when I felt ashamed. Being around family reminded me I wasn’t a resume or a relationship status; I was a person. Their steadiness helped me stay steady, and the simple routines of meals, conversations, and showing up for each other kept me grounded.

Volunteering

Serving others pulled me out of my own spiral. It reminded me that I still had something to give, even in a season when I felt like I had little to show. Volunteering didn’t just fill time; it restored perspective and reconnected me to purpose.

What this meant for me

Those four pillars didn’t magically solve everything overnight, but they kept me upright long enough to rebuild. Looking back, 2015 taught me that “getting your life together” is rarely one thing. It’s professional direction, yes, but it’s also spiritual health, physical health, relationships, and contribution. When one area is shaky, the others can keep you from collapsing.

That’s why I’m creating the Accelerated Learning Roadmap for Success. My “2015 experience” and the all-around success I’ve been very fortunate to enjoy since then, has made me care about helping young people hit their stride – not only in finding meaningful work, but in building the rest of their life with intention that leads to fulfillment. If you’re in a season where doors aren’t opening yet, or you’re watching other people move forward while you feel stuck, I get it. I’m not here to offer quick fixes. I’m here to share what helped, what I’m learning, and the practical habits that can carry you through the in-between and beyond.

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. 😊
